This design was made with the help of Beginner's Guide to Blackwork by Lesley Wilkins. The snow is falling on the birds and on the flowers. I received the fabric from Nordic Needle in one of their grab bags. I also received the bell pull from them. Blackwork works up rather quickly and is a constant puzzle solving mission to choose the best path for a return path. One trick I picked up from a web site somewhere is to choose a main path and do side trips as you come to them then get back on the main path.
